Spelling Bee Final Uses Steph Curry, Warriors in Example for Word 'Giallolino'

There are benefits to being the two-time reigning NBA MVP and one of the biggest stars in the world.

Perhaps the biggest? Being used in an example at the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

While Stephen Curry was trying to fend off elimination in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals, he was referenced in a sentence for the word “giallolino,” which describes “any of various yellow pigments,” per Merriam-Webster.

Nihar Janga, who eventually went on to share the championship with Jairam Hathwar, treated the word like Steph treats an open jumper.

Money.
