According to The Vertical's Shams Charania, Selden will take part in the predraft process, but he'll only conduct interviews and undergo medical exams during his stay in Chicago.
Charania added that Selden played through the injury during a portion of his junior season with the Jayhawks. The 21-year-old then underwent the procedure once the Jayhawks were bounced in the Elite Eight by the Villanova Wildcats.
Furthermore, Charania reported that "Selden has stayed on track in his rehabilitation and training, and is expected to begin individual team workouts soon."
After averaging 9.4 points on 38.2 percent shooting from the field and 36.5 percent shooting from three as a sophomore, Selden turned things up as he helped Kansas capture its first Big 12 tournament title since 2013.
In 29.8 minutes per game, Selden averaged a career-best 13.8 points on 47.4 percent shooting from the field and 39.2 percent from three as he repeatedly flashed an improved stroke from beyond the arc. Selden also converted a staggering 71.3 percent of his shots at the rim last season, per Hoop-Math.com.
With a little over a month until the NBA draft, Charania reported that NBA executives are split on Selden's draft prospects. Some reportedly view him as a first-round talent, while others would be more inclined to wait and select the bouncy combo guard in the second round.
On his April big board, Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman had Selden pegged as the 47th-best player in this year's class. Additionally, DraftExpress is projecting that Selden will be picked in the mid stages of Round 2.
