Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Atlanta Hawks: Live Score, Analysis for Game 4
Kevin Love scored 27 points, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving scored 21 apiece and the Cleveland Cavaliers outlasted the Atlanta Hawks, 100-99, at Philips Arena on Sunday afternoon to complete a four-game sweep and move on to the Eastern Conference Finals for the second straight season.
The Hawks got off to a terrific start, taking a 36-27 lead after the first quarter behind 15 early points from Paul Millsap.
Atlanta then jumped out to a 12-point lead in the second period, but the Cavaliers slowly chipped away, and by halftime, the Hawks' lead was down to two.
Then, Love took over.
Love ended up burying eight three-pointers in the game, including one that resulted in a four-point play during the third quarter.
In one of the stranger stat lines you will see, Love shot 8-of-15 from three-point range and just 1-of-10 from inside the arc.
As a team, the Cavs drained 16 three-pointers after hitting a playoff-record 25 in Game 2 and 21 more in Game 3.
The Cavaliers cooled off considerably from downtown in the second half Sunday, going just 6-of-21 from deep over the final two quarters.
Still, they had done just enough to earn the win.
Dennis Schroder led the Hawks with 21 points off the bench.
Cleveland will face the winner of the Miami Heat-Toronto Raptors series in the next round.
