Kevin Durant on His Emotions After Blowout Loss to Spurs: 'I'm Not Telling You'
The San Antonio Spurs dominated the Oklahoma City Thunder from start to finish in Game 1 of the teams' Western Conference Semifinals series Saturday night, so Thunder superstar Kevin Durant wanted to put the game behind him as quickly as possible.
As in once the final buzzer sounded.
During a postgame press conference, Durant (16 points, eight rebounds and six assists) was asked about his emotions with regard to the 124-92 loss.
His answer? "I'm not telling you."
He did go on to provide more details, though.
Obviously, the 2013-14 NBA MVP was disappointed with the way his team started the series. Oklahoma City was hoping to set the tone the way it did in its last series (with a 108-70 victory over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1) but ended up getting run off the court.
Some may not like the way Durant initially handled the question, but hey, he raised a good point. It's a brutal loss, but it's just one game. The Thunder have six more games to figure out the Spurs.
