During his latest interview with Turner Sports sideline reporter Craig Sager, Philadelphia legend Allen Iverson took a moment to give his interviewer a heartfelt message.
Fight. Just fight.
Sager revealed late last month on HBO's Real Sports that he is no longer in remission, and that he was told by doctors he might have three to six months to live, as his leukemia has returned. While some may not be able to handle tough news like that, the 64-year-old reporter decided he wanted to be one of those who lives well past the initial medical timetable.
There has been an outpouring of support throughout the sports world since Sager shared his diagnosis, with Iverson's being the latest. While Sager has to deal with the situation himself, seeing all of the love he has gotten has to help him push through the tough times and continue to fight.
