Los Angeles Lakers vs. Los Angeles Clippers: Live Score, Highlights and Reaction

Matthew SchmidtApr 5, 2016

Chris Paul scored 25 points, Jeff Green added 21 off the bench and the Los Angeles Clippers routed the Los Angeles Lakers, 103-81, at the Staples Center on Tuesday night.

The Clippers game out firing from the get-go, jumping out to a 20-2 lead. They scored 17 fast-break points over the first five-and-a-half minutes of the contest, running straight to the rim off of misses and finishing at the basket.

The Clippers did get a bit careless afterward, allowing the Lakers to creep to within 52-44 by halftime.

However, the Clippers proceeded to outscore the Lakers, 32-16, in the third quarter, leaving little doubt about what the end result would be.

Paul shot 10-of-14 from the floor and scored 13 of his points in the first quarter. He also tallied eight assists.

Blake Griffin was just 1-of-5 in 16 minutes during his second game back from his quad and hand injuries.

The Clippers shot 51.3 percent as a team.

Metta World Peace led the Lakers with a season-high 17 points off the pine.

Kobe Bryant scored six points and shot just 2-of-12 in 22 minutes, although he was regularly serenaded with "Kobe!" chants throughout the contest.

These two ballclubs will meet again on Wednesday night, with the Lakers playing host.
