Hornets Go All Out in Campaigning for Kemba Walker to Win Most Improved Player
When the Charlotte Hornets believe one of their players deserves an individual award, they will exhaust all resources to help said player win it.
Last year, it was Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (for the NBA All-Defensive Team). Now it's Kemba Walker's turn.
The Hornets have pulled out all the stops to make a case for Walker to win the NBA's Most Improved Player award. Given that it's an election year, they are literally campaigning.
Charlotte has put together not just a campaign video but a "Win with Walker" website as well. The site explains why the point guard is a qualified candidate and even lists when "campaign rallies" (aka games) will be.
Kidd-Gilchrist was not fortunate enough to receive either first- or second-team All-Defensive honors last season. This time around, the Hornets are determined to get their player some love.
