Heat vs. Trail Blazers: Score, Video Highlights and Recap from April 2
The Portland Trail Blazers put their three-game winning streak on the line when they welcomed the Miami Heat on Saturday night.
Only three games separate the sixth-place Blazers and the ninth-place Houston Rockets in the Western Conference. Just as important, Portland has a two-game lead over the Dallas Mavericks and Utah Jazz, who sit seventh and eighth, respectively.
The Blazers will want to avoid drawing either the Golden State Warriors or San Antonio Spurs in the first round.
Similarly, the Heat won't want to slip in the standings, either. Sitting in third before the matchup, they'd avoid the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the playoffs if they stay there.
The Trail Blazers helped their postseason position, picking up a 110-93 win in Portland. C.J. McCollum led the team with 24 points on 9-of-15 shooting, while Mason Plumlee recorded 17 points and eight rebounds.
