Gerald Green scored a season-high 30 points as the Miami Heat held on to defeat the Sacramento Kings, 112-106, at Sleep Train Arena on Friday night.
The Heat, playing without Dwyane Wade, defeated a Kings team without DeMarcus Cousins. The All-Star big man was suspended by the league after receiving his 16th technical foul on the year.
Darren Collison led the Kings with 26 points off the bench, while Seth Curry chipped in with 21 points. Rudy Gay had 20 points on 9-of-21 shooting, while the other three starters (Rajon Rondo, Quincy Acy and Willie Cauley-Stein) combined to shoot 4-of-19 from the floor.
Five Heat players scored in double figures, including Goran Dragic with 18 points and seven assists. Joe Johnson also had 14 points and eight assists for Miami.
