Even without LeBron James (rest), the Cleveland Cavaliers were able to squeak past the Dallas Mavericks, 99-98, Wednesday night at Quicken Loans Arena.
Kyrie Irving was handed the reins to Cleveland's offense and dropped 33 points on 13-of-28 shooting, including 3-of-9 from three. Kevin Love added 23 points and 18 rebounds, while Channing Frye poured in 14 points off the bench.
The Mavericks were led by 20 points apiece from Dirk Nowitzki and David Lee.
