Klay Thompson went 7-of-20 from the field and 0-of-8 from three-point territory in Sunday’s 112-95 road loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Still, though, the Golden State Warriors shooting guard couldn’t be too angry.

After the final buzzer, Kobe Bryant gave Thompson his game-worn jersey that featured the following message: "To Klay, it’s been a pleasure watching you grow into the player you are! Keep going!"

As Serena Winters of Lakers Nation noted, Thompson grew up idolizing the Black Mamba, which makes the gesture even more special.
