Rockets vs. Bulls: Score, Video Highlights and Recap from March 5
The Chicago Bulls held serve on their home court and knocked off the Houston Rockets, 108-100, on Saturday night.
The Rockets and Bulls have been two of the NBA's biggest disappointments this season, though both remain on the fringes of playoff contention.
The Bulls' win, combined with the Detroit Pistons' loss to the New York Knicks, moved Chicago into the Eastern Conference's No. 8 seed.
Jimmy Butler returned to Chicago's lineup for the first time since Feb. 5, and he scored 24 points in 34 minutes and showed no effects from his knee injury. Pau Gasol had a double-double with 28 points and 17 rebounds.
The Rockets didn't have much to celebrate, though James Harden's 36 points and eight assists carried their offense.
