On the strength of a 37-point third quarter, the Detroit Pistons beat the Toronto Raptors, 114-101, at home Sunday.
The two teams were tied at halftime, and by the time the fourth quarter was about to begin, the Raptors were staring at a 17-point deficit, 89-72. They were unable to recover in the final frame.
Toronto's defense was powerless to stop Detroit as the Pistons shot 57.7 percent from the field. Six Pistons players scored in double figures, with Reggie Jackson's 19 points leading the way. Andre Drummond also recorded a double-double, scoring 15 points and grabbing 18 rebounds.
