Golden State Warriors vs Oklahoma City Thunder: Live Score, Highlights, Reaction

Matthew SchmidtFeb 27, 2016

Stephen Curry scored 46 points and tied the NBA single-game record by making 12 three-pointers, including one from way beyond the arc that would serve as the game-winning shot with 0.6 seconds remaining, and the Golden State Warriors outlasted the Oklahoma City Thunder in overtime, 121-118, in a thriller at Chesapeake Energy Arena on Saturday night.

This was probably the best game of the season.

The Thunder got out to a terrific start, jumping out to a 14-point lead in the first quarter in front of a delirious crowd.

The Warriors made a couple of runs in the second quarter, but Oklahoma City ended up closing the half strong and taking a 57-46 lead into the locker room.

OKC was in control for most of the second half, and things looked bleak for Golden State when Curry exited the game after turning his ankle in the third quarter.

However, Curry would return, and calamity ensued.

Curry chipped away at the Thunder's lead in the fourth quarter, draining three-pointers and working the Oklahoma City defense.

Still, it did not look like it was going to be enough.

But with the Thunder up by two points and under 10 seconds left, Durant got trapped in the corner and threw the ball away. He then proceeded to foul Andre Iguodala on a shot attempt with 0.7 seconds left. Iguodala went to the line and calmly sunk both free throws, sending the game into overtime.

Durant fouled out almost immediately in the extra session, leaving Russell Westbrook to try to take matters into his own hands.

Westbrook put forth a valiant effort, but in the end, it was just too much Stephen Curry.

Curry continued to dazzle with ridiculously tough three-pointers, and with 0.6 seconds left, he drained a triple from about 35 feet out to put the Warriors up by three, 121-118.

Westbrook got a good look from distance to try to tie the game, but he misfired, and Golden State came away with the win.

Curry shot 14-of-24 and went 12-of-16 from long range, tying a single-game record for threes set by Kobe Bryant and Donyell Marshall.

Klay Thompson added 32 points.

Durant led the Thunder with 37 points and 12 rebounds, and Westbrook posted 26 points and 13 assists. Serge Ibaka contributed 15 points and 20 boards.

Next up for the Warriors is a home meeting with the Atlanta Hawks on March 1.

Meanwhile, the Thunder will try to pick themselves off the mat when they head to Sacramento to take on the Kings on Monday.
