Collison Refutes Rumor Regarding His Future in Sacramento
Wednesday, Feb. 17
In an episode of the Basketball Insiders Podcast on Tuesday (via HoopsHype), Basketball Insiders' Alex Kennedy reported both Collison and Rudy Gay were looking to leave the Kings. Collison responded Wednesday:
"Alex Kennedy that's false information bro, I'm good... pic.twitter.com/Z3yBtDv2aW

The 28-year-old is having a nice season while backing up Rajon Rondo at the point in Sacramento. He's averaging 13.4 points on 47.5 percent shooting and 3.9 assists per night. According to Basketball-Reference.com, his 15.6 PER is fifth highest on the team.
The Kings are also two points better per 100 possessions when Collison is on the floor, per NBA.com.
According to Spotrac, the seven-year veteran will earn a little over $5.2 million next year before becoming a free agent. Especially with the salary cap set to rise, that's a reasonable sum to pay for a point guard of Collison's pedigree and skill level.
If Sacramento made him available, the team could probably get a nice return on Collison. Judging by his tweet, Collison will remain with the Kings at least through the deadline.
