Chicago received a strong effort from Derrick Rose (14 points, five rebounds) and a double-double from Pau Gasol (20 points, 10 rebounds), but the rest of the starters combined for only 14 points.
The Bulls bench was led by Bobby Portis (12 points, 10 rebounds), whose double-double came on his 21st birthday. Doug McDermott also added 17 points.
Atlanta remains in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, 1 game behind the Boston Celtics. They will face the Miami Heat next Friday, after the All-Star Break.
