The Top 10 Plays of Damian Lillard's Career
Damian Lillard is just halfway through his fourth season in the NBA, but he's already given fans a whole heap of highlights to behold.
The Portland Trail Blazers' star point guard has already ripped more than his share of hearts out with buzzer-beating jumpers. And he's victimized plenty of would-be defenders into Vine-dom.
That makes narrowing the Weber State product's best plays down to 10 a difficult but rewarding task. And as you'll see, all the big shots and poster dunks are well worth a look.
10. The Spin for the Win
1 of 10One of the hallmarks of Lillard's game is his willingness to take big shots and ability to hit them.
And in December 2013, during his sophomore campaign with the Blazers, he drilled a tough one right in Rodney Stuckey's face to seal the overtime win.
9. Too Much Airspace
2 of 10Just two days after he demoralized the Pistons with the game-winner in the lane, Lillard did the same to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Only this time, he was about 20 feet further from the rim.
8. When the Help Is Late...
3 of 10Later in that 2013-14 season, Lillard embarrassed a pair of young Golden State Warriors wings when he froze Klay Thompson on a backdoor cut and then posterized the late-rotating Harrison Barnes at the rim.
7. A Sign of Things to Come
4 of 10Lillard's penchant for hitting the big shot was on display just a couple months into his rookie season when he hung an "L" on the Charlotte Hornets with this dribble-pull-up game-winner out of the pick-and-roll.
6: Pick-and-Roll Poster
5 of 10About a month further into his rookie campaign, Lillard gave us this monster.
As if the blow-by out of the pick-and-roll against John Wall wasn't enough, he proceeded to obliterate Nene at the rim.
5. Down Goes Another Tar Heel
6 of 10Tyler Zeller and Harrison Barnes were teammates at North Carolina, and as of January 2015, they have another commonality: They've both been posterized by Lillard.
4. Y'all Know What Time It Is
7 of 10Lillard Time (n.): the period of time in which a Portland Trail Blazers game is on the line and Damian Lillard takes over.
3. The Barrage
8 of 10Speaking of Lillard Time, we had perhaps the best example of it early in the 2015-16 season.
This isn't a single play, so it's technically cheating to sneak it into this list. But 17 points in the final three minutes against Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant is just too good to be left out.
2. Scaling the Stifle Tower
9 of 10Rudy Gobert was the best rim protector in the NBA last season, but you wouldn't know it from watching Lillard dunk all over him.
1. The Series-Clincher
10 of 10What's bigger than all the game-winners Lillard's already hit in his career? How about the series-winner he drained in May of 2014 to knock the Houston Rockets out of the playoffs?
Yeah, that should be good enough to take the cake.
