West Virginia pulled off an 81-76 win at Iowa State on Tuesday night, rallying from down 15 points in the first half.
The 14th-ranked Mountaineers (18-4, 7-2 Big 12) remained in a tie for first place in the conference with Oklahoma by shooting 53.1 percent in the second half and forcing 16 turnovers. Devin Williams had a career game with 17 points and 18 rebounds, while Jaysean Paige scored 23 points on 10-of-17 shooting.
Iowa State (16-6, 5-4) lost its second straight game, after falling Saturday at Texas A&M in the Big 12/SEC Challenge. The Cyclones held a 37-33 halftime lead but missed seven free throws in the second half.
