The Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets were both looking to establish some momentum in the Western Conference playoff race coming into Sunday's contest.

The Mavericks split their last 14, while the Rockets were 2-3 in their last five following a five-game winning streak.

Houston was also dealing with physical concerns with guard Patrick Beverley and center Dwight Howard nursing ankle injuries entering Sunday's game.

The Rockets went on to score the home win, 115-104.
