Pelicans vs. Grizzlies: Score, Video Highlights and Recap from Jan. 18

The New Orleans Pelicans have rebounded following their slow start to the new year, but the Memphis Grizzlies threatened to undo some of that progress Monday.

New Orleans began January with a 1-4 record and has since picked up victories over the Sacramento Kings and Charlotte Hornets. While those wins aren't enough to get the Pelicans back into the playoff hunt, they offer encouragement.

The Grizzlies entered Monday having won four of their last five games. They occupied the fifth seed in the Western Conference, and a win would help stave off the Dallas Mavericks, who sat in sixth with the same record (23-19).

Memphis consolidated its playoff position with a 101-99 victory over New Orleans.
