The Charlotte Hornets hoped some home cooking could help them reverse a recent losing trend against the Utah Jazz on Monday at Time Warner Cable Arena.

Charlotte had lost nine of 10 coming in to fall out of the Eastern Conference playoff picture. The Jazz were clinging to eighth place in the West and hoped to use their superior defense to grind out a road victory.

They needed double overtime, but the Hornets prevailed behind Kemba Walker's 52 points, 124-119.
