The Houston Rockets began the season with a slow start, but they were winners of five of the last six before Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers and are squarely back in the Western Conference playoff race.

As for the struggling Lakers, they were 1-6 in their last seven and had already dropped games to Houston twice this season.

The Rockets would go on to secure the road win, 112-95.
