Rose Will Play vs. Lakers
Thursday, Jan. 28
Chicago Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg said Rose will be "good to go" against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, per Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago.
Rose's Return Boosts Depleted Bulls Lineup
Rose's hiatus came at quite an untimely juncture, as Kirk Hinrich (left quad) and E’Twaun Moore (right hamstring) were already sidelined with injuries, per Cody Westerlund of CBS Chicago. His return will provide a lift to a Bulls squad that has been hindered by injuries.
Rose has an alarming injury history, so fans in the Windy City are always holding their breath when he leaves the hardwood.
The former NBA MVP has never been quite the same following multiple knee injuries and is no longer the best young player on the team. That distinction belongs to Jimmy Butler, who is a superior defender and a more proficient scorer.
Still, a healthy Rose is vital to the Bulls' championship aspirations, and the team has to be thrilled he's already back in the lineup.
