The New York Knicks won five of their previous six games before Wednesday's clash with the Brooklyn Nets and are within striking distance of the Eastern Conference playoff picture.

As for the Nets, they have been a disaster with five straight losses and a 10-28 record overall heading into the game.

The Nets won, 110-104.

Brooklyn was an ideal opponent for New York to continue its winning ways, although superstar Carmelo Anthony suffered a sprained ankle in Tuesday's win over the Boston Celtics and was questionable for Wednesday.
