Kansas vs. West Virginia: Live Score, Highlights and Reaction
No. 11 West Virginia 74, No. 1 Kansas 63
The No. 11 West Virginia Mountaineers earned their first win Tuesday night over an AP No. 1 team since beating the UNLV Rebels on February 27, 1983, as they knocked off the No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks.
West Virginia forced the top team in the nation into 22 turnovers and held the Jayhawks to 41.7 percent shooting to earn its second win in two years over Bill Self's team at the WVU Coliseum.

Kansas started bright behind Wayne Selden's shooting from beyond the arc, but the West Virginia press eventually began to influence the game. Kansas went into the locker room at halftime with 12 turnovers. The Jayhawks' season average is 11.5.
West Virginia almost let its eight-point halftime advantage slip away at the start of the second half as Kansas pulled within four behind a 9-0 run. That would be the closest Kansas would get during its unsuccessful comeback attempt, however.
The Mountaineers kept Kansas at arm's length for the final 12 minutes thanks to the press and contributions on offense from Jaysean Paige and Devin Williams.
Paige scored 14 of his game-high 26 points from the free-throw line, while the Mountaineers went 33-for-47 as a team from the charity stripe. Williams earned his seventh double-double of the season with 17 points and 12 rebounds.
Perry Ellis led the Jayhawks with 21 points. He had eight of Kansas' 20 field goals. Frank Mason contributed 12 points, while Selden ended with 11.
West Virginia has a chance to beat the top two teams in the nation in one week. The Mountaineers visit the No. 2 Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday.
