The Chicago Bulls entered Thursday night on a major roll, but an old rival looked to put a stop to that, as the Boston Celtics visited the United Center.

Jimmy Butler and the Bulls surged to second place in the Eastern Conference by virtue of five consecutive wins prior to Thursday's contest, but they came up against a C's team fighting to remain in the top eight.

The Bulls would go on to win, 101-92.
