After winning four of their last five games, the Portland Trail Blazers sat within striking distance of the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

They hoped that remained the case after Monday night when they took on the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies sat sixth in the conference, but just three-and-a-half games separated them and the Blazers. Portland could close the gap even more with a win.

Memphis managed to pull out a 91-78 victory.
