After looking like they turned a corner last month, the Houston Rockets were only 1.5 games ahead of the Portland Trail Blazers for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Houston had the perfect tonic Monday night in the form of the equally disappointing Utah Jazz.

This was a matchup of the No. 7 and 8 seeds in the West, with Utah holding a half-game lead over the Rockets.

Houston leapfrogged the Jazz following a 93-91 win.
