Losers of five straight games, the Denver Nuggets tried to avoid making it six against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.

The Nuggets were a night removed from nearly giving the Golden State Warriors their first home loss before falling 111-108. The Blazers had won three of their last four games, including a triumph Wednesday over these same Nuggets.

The Blazers would go on to register the road win, 112-106.
