Pelicans vs. Mavericks: Score, Video Highlights and Recap from Jan. 2

After dropping back-to-back games to close out 2015, the New Orleans Pelicans opened 2016 with a 105-98 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night. 

Anthony Davis stuffed the stat sheet to the tune of 31 points, 14 rebounds, a block and a steal while Norris Cole and Eric Gordon added 16 points apiece. 

Dirk Nowitzki and Wesley Matthews led Dallas with 24 and 18 points, respectively.
