Hornets vs. Raptors: Score, Video Highlights and Recap from Jan. 1

The Charlotte Hornets blew an eight-point lead after three quarters and were dealt a 104-94 loss on the road against the Toronto Raptors on Friday. 

The Hornets need to make a statement if they want to be a playoff threat in the Eastern Conference, and Friday's loss was not the ideal way to do so.

The Hornets have struggled lately after a 14-8 start, losing seven of their last 10 games. Head coach Steve Clifford has found a good balance on offense and defense, but consistency from game to game is still a work in progress. 

The Raptors are led by a stingy defense that entered Friday fourth in points allowed. They've now won four of their past five games and remain tied with the Atlanta Hawks for second place in the Eastern Conference at 21-13.
