Mavericks vs. Heat: Score, Video Highlights and Recap from Jan. 1

The Dallas Mavericks' four-game win streak was halted in Friday's 106-82 loss to the Miami Heat.

The Mavericks had started to hit their groove, coming off a victory over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, but couldn't overcome Friday's first quarter, in which they were outscored 22-10. 

The Warriors played Wednesday's game without Stephen Curry, so that win comes with an asterisk, but the Mavs still took care of business and are trying to keep pace with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference standings. 

The Heat have been all over the map lately, now 4-4 in their last eight games and in second place in the Southeast Division.
