1-Handed Florida Basketball Player Scores 1st Career Points vs. Jacksonville
The Florida Gators cruised to an 89-65 victory over the Jacksonville Dolphins on Tuesday night, and as a result of the blowout, some fans may have left early.
However, anyone who stuck around all the way to the end was treated to a special moment.
Late in the game, Florida head coach Mike White subbed in sophomore Zach Hodskins, who was born without a hand on his left arm. Hodskins had played sparingly as a freshman last season, going 0-of-2 from the field in four appearances.

When he came onto the floor Tuesday night, he made the most of his playing time.
In the game's final minute, Hodskins beat a Jacksonville defender with a nice spin move and finished with a layup. He also drew a foul on the play.
That bucket drew a loud ovation from the Florida crowd—and a great reaction from the bench.
Hodskins was unable to complete the three-point play, but that doesn't take away from his accomplishment of recording his first career points.
Hodskins' basket capped off a big night for the Gators. Florida improved to 8-3 on the season with the victory.
