NFL Schedule Week 11: Game Times, TV Coverage and Live Stream Guide

Nate LoopNov 22, 2015

NFL television coverage can be tricky to figure out from week to week. Regional coverage is sometimes a guessing game when you're in a market between two NFL teams, while flexible schedules can thrust teams into the Sunday night spotlight and scramble many viewers' long-held plans.

Figuring out when and where to watch your favorite team is tough if you're not smack-dab in the middle of its television market. Occasionally, you'll have to settle for what's served up to you. Kirk Goldsberry did a deep analysis for Five Thirty Eight, and he found out that the Dallas Cowboys are the team most likely to be streaming over the airwaves and into your living room:

Still, the main takeaway from this map is that them Cowboys are on TV a lot all over the place; they are by far the most broadcast team around the country. Over the past six seasons, they were either the first or second most commonly broadcast team in 95 of just over 200 markets around the U.S.,4 a dominance that appears on the West Coast in markets including Seattle and Los Angeles, and on the East Coast in Jacksonville, Florida, and Greenville, North Carolina.

Week 11 isn't the worst week to get stuck watching the so-called America's Team. Tony Romo is returning after a long absence. Playing against the wildly inconsistent Miami Dolphins,  he'll be looking to break his squad out of a seven-game losing streak and, at least in his mind, revive their infinitesimal playoff chances.

There are plenty of other intriguing games to check out this week. For a coverage map for all games, check out 506Sports.com. Here are the game times and viewing info for each and every Week 11 contest.

Cincinnati Bengals (8-1) vs. Arizona Cardinals (7-2)

Houston dealt Cincinnati its first loss of the season on Monday night in Week 10, winning a drab affair by a score of 10-6. Andy Dalton's prime-time demons resurfaced as he struggled mightily against the Texans, a problematic franchise for him throughout his career. He'll be looking to rebound in Week 11, but he faces a tough test in Arizona.

The Cardinals have allowed quarterbacks a paltry 74.2 rating this season, per ESPN.com. They narrowly edged out Seattle 39-32 in Week 10, a close score due more to two untimely Carson Palmer turnovers than anything Russell Wilson did with the ball in his hands.

Cards cornerback Patrick Peterson will look to take away Dalton's top option in A.J. Green. This could be a proving ground for Marvin Jones, who has had an up-and-down season so far and faces a tough challenge in Tyrann Mathieu. Pro Football Focus noted the Cardinals duo haven't had a poor game yet this year:

The Bengals' success could then hinge on tight end Tyler Eifert, who has 460 yards and nine touchdowns on the year. Although a monster in the red zone, Eifert hasn't been a very prolific pass-catcher for the most part. He has just two games with more than five receptions this season.

Dalton, of course, hasn't been forced to look his way all that often with the likes of Jones and Green in the lineup. This game could hinge on whether Eifert can assert himself in the passing game and pick up key first downs as a potential first option.

When the Cardinals are on offense, Carson Palmer will have to hope his line holds up against his former team. Seattle's pressure forced him into two ugly sack-fumbles in Week 10. Palmer also threw a pick in that game. Taking care of the football is paramount, as the Bengals have allowed opponents just 10 points in each of their past three games.

Palmer's not going to lie, playing against the team that drafted him means a bit more than most, per Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer

The Cards could use a big game from the aging duo of Larry Fitzgerald and Chris Johnson. Both players have regained top form this year. NFL Network's Andrew Siciliano noted Johnson and another 30-year-old back have been the top-rushing backs in the league this year and could accomplish a rare feat:

Wide receiver Michael Floyd hasn't practiced all week with a sore hamstring, while John Brown has been limited with a similar injury, per AZCardinals.com. A balanced approach will be necessary to overcome a stout Bengals defense.

Carolina Panthers (9-0) vs. Washington Redskins (4-5)

Kirk Cousins has turned heads with some strong play in recent weeks. He threw for 317 yards and three scores in a comeback win over Tampa Bay in Week 8, then torched the hapless New Orleans Saints for four touchdowns in Week 10. Clearly, Cousins can pick on the weaker defenses in the league. However, he has not fared well against tougher outfits like those found in New England and New York.

Carolina's defense is perhaps the best he's faced this season, so it is going to take a Herculean effort from Cousins and some assistance from an inconsistent backfield if Washington is going to topple one of the league's two remaining undefeated teams. Offensive coordinator Sean McVay believes a confident Cousins is starting to put it all together and his recent play is no fluke, per Liz Clarke of the Washington Post:

"

He’s able to process information, eliminate quickly and get through his progression very quickly to where it doesn’t stress our offensive line or the timing and rhythm of a certain play. I think the more live reps he gets, the better he’s gonna be and the more comfortable he’ll play. You can start to see his confidence grow each week.

"

Cousins will, of course, have to be wary of cornerback Josh Norman, who has four picks on the season and is playing some of the best football of his life this season. While Cousins got a few big plays from Matt Jones in the passing game against the Saints, he could use more of his and Alfred Morris' work on the ground to keep things moving. They combined for 148 rushing yards against the Saints, by far their best outings since the first two weeks of the season.

Navigating through the Panthers' stout front can be difficult, especially when sure-tackling linebacker Luke Kuechly is there to plug up holes. Pro Football Focus noted that it's nearly impossible to escape his grasp this year:

With the Panthers defense in good shape to shut down Washington, Cam Newton might only need to bust out a couple of celebratory dances this week to get the job done. The Redskins haven't really had to deal with a truly mobile quarterback this year, and Newton is putting together an MVP-caliber season to boot. ESPN Stats & Info put together a fun infographic detailing his accomplishments this year:

Newton's ability to take off with the ball on any given play causes all kinds of headaches. He can also buy time for tight end Greg Olsen to sit down and find the soft spots in coverage or shake off a man defender.

Carolina has had no problems getting the ground game up and running this year with Jonathan Stewart (662 yards, four touchdowns) leading the way, buoyed by Newton's runs and Mike Tolbert's occasional rumbling and stumbling.

A steady running game and a few big plays from the league's most giddily enjoyable player to watch (that's Newton, obviously) might be all it takes for Carolina to make it 10 wins on the year.

Buffalo Bills (5-4) vs. New England Patriots (9-0)

Ahh, New England. As turbulent as the parity-driven NFL can be from year to year, the Patriots endure, like a tall, unwavering ship's mast in the tempest. Nobody puts together a team like the taciturn Bill Belichick, who seems to hold all kinds of untold secrets on how to pull one over on the rest of the league every year (and no, not by cheating).

His polar opposite—at the very least in terms of on-camera behavior and quotability—is Bills head coach Rex Ryan, who has kept Buffalo in the playoff hunt despite key players missing games. Ryan is no stranger to saying what he feels; Ryan chafed at some of the media's questions regarding his record against the Patriots, but he did admit they are the team to beat per CSNNE.com's Phil Perry

"

The only reason I talk about them is that they're the No. 1 team in our division. That's where we want to be. I know you guys say I'm obsessed with them and all that but you guys are obsessed with them, not me. I want to beat them. But you're the ones who talk about them every single day.

We prepare, I'll tell you this, we prepare for them the same way we prepare for every team that we face. Do we want to beat them? Absolutely. Do I want to beat them more than any team we face? Yeah because they're the standard. They've won. They're the ones who've won the division. To me, that's why.

"

They may not be able to chase down New England this year, but Buffalo can put a jolt in it's own postseason hopes with a win on Sunday. The Pats took down the Bills 40-32, with much of the Bills points coming late in the contest after New England had built a comfortable lead.

Since then, New England has steamrolled much of the league, although they did just barely eke out a win over the New York Giants by a 27-26 score in Week 10.

Buffalo has had good games and bad, hampered at times by an unusually dormant pass rush and injuries to the likes of Tyrod Taylor, Sammy Watkins and LeSean McCoy.

Thankfully, those players are health again and for the most part, playing well. McCoy has two straight 100-yard rushing games, Taylor is taking care of the football and Watkins torched Miami in Week 9.

On the other end, New England comes into this game missing a couple of players who were key contributors in Week 2. Dion Lewis and Julian Edelman combined for 235 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns against Buffalo. Lewis is now out for the year, and Edelman is expected to miss a significant amount of time with a broken bone in his foot.

With the passing game potentially slowed by these injuries, ESPN.com's Mike Rodak thinks the Bills' adequate run defense could see a heavy dose of LeGarrette Blount:

"

...The Bills' run defense has been inconsistent this season, ranking 18th in yards per rush (4.07) and 14th in first downs per rushing attempt (21.8 percent). Buffalo allowed Jacksonville's TJ Yeldon to run 20 times for 115 yards a week after losing Williams to a knee injury last month, and the Jets' Chris Ivory averaged 5.5 yards per carry in the Bills' win last Thursday.

"

Rodak also points out the Bills are without stalwart defensive tackle Kyle Williams. Pounding the ball with Blount could stymie whatever pass rush the Bills can muster and give Tom Brady plenty of time to find the likes of Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola.

Buffalo will counter with its tandem of McCoy and Karlos Williams, who have done much of the heavy lifting on offense as of late. Taylor has totaled 339 yards and two touchdowns in two November games. He will need to step up the play with either his arm or his legs for Buffalo to pull out a win.
