It doesn't look like Kentucky is going to have a problem playing these four teams. They don't have to leave Lexington and can look at these matchups as the perfect opportunities to tune up the team entering the more difficult part of the schedule.
Head coach John Calipari spoke with Jerry Tipton of Kentucky.com about his plans and outlook for the Wildcats:
"Good chance we'll start three freshmen, which is typical for us. We're not 10 deep/two platoons. We'll probably play six, seven or eight, depending on who deserves it. And we'll go from there... We're going to be fine. We're still trying to figure out who we are. That's going to be the challenge.
"
One of those freshman, 5-star forward Skal Labissiere, is one of the highest-touted freshmen in the nation this season. He's also getting some nice comparisons from his school's Twitter account:
He gets his first crack at regular-season action with the Wildcats Friday when Kentucky squares off against Albany. It also gives the team a chance to erase the lost promise of a dominant season that saw them go 38-1 and lose in the Final Four.
