Adidas Yeezy 350 Boost 'Moonrock' Release Date Schedule, Pics and Retail Price

Every person has the one item they've always wanted more than anything but have never obtained.   

For yours truly, those are a pair of Yeezys. Seriously. This offer is still totally on the table.

From their debut under the Nike umbrella to their transition to the Yeezy Boost era with Adidas, Kanye West has developed an almost unmatched reputation in the shoe game. Each Yeezy release sells out of stock within seconds. If a shoe goes on sale at 10 a.m., you better be there at 9:59:59 a.m. with your clicking fingers ready.

Few other—if any—releases necessitate a full post detailing each individual store that will have the shoe. But that's exactly what the folks at Sneaker News (and many others) have done for the Yeezy Boost "Moonrock," which will hit retailers Saturday ($200 retail price). The limited release is the third of the Yeezy Boost 350 series, following the original and black colorways.

Both, understandably, flew off shelves and are now only available via online resellers. A quick eBay search shows prices going well into quadruple digits, which is at once astounding and not at all surprising. I mean, a dude tried selling his Boosts for a kidney and actually got offers.

"The Yeezy Boost 350 style, in particular—a low-cut version of the original, featuring a Primeknit upper—has been a huge hit across a wide swath of influencers, from sneakerheads to stars, fashionistas and a wildly devoted public," wrote Jennie Bell of Footwear News in naming West the 2015 King of Shoes.

Some would say naming the man also known as Yeezus the king of anything will only serve to grow his outsized ego. Those people, of course, are what's known in the scientific community as "haters." The only quibble one could possibly have with naming West the King of anything is that the United States does not have a royal family, and people may be politically confused when Mr. West ascends to the presidency in 2020.

As for the actual shoes, the Moonrock colorway follows a familiar pattern. The shoe features a gray primeknit upper with black accentuation between the knit. West has been seen rocking them on more than one occasion in anticipation for the release, including over the weekend when walking with mother-in-law Kris Jenner. 

There's not much to say here that hasn't already been said. Kanye's Kanye. The shoes are dope. And they'll probably be sold out before any of us—yours truly included—get a chance to buy them.
