Head coach Frank Vogel told reporters Stuckey will "try to play."
How Stuckey's Return Impacts Pacers
Stuckey has carved out a niche for himself as somebody who can fill multiple roles. Whether the Pacers ask him to play point guard or shooting guard as part of the starting lineup or off the bench, he's done it since the start of last season.
The 29-year-old Eastern Washington product has remained mostly durable throughout his career. Most of the ailments he's dealt with in recent years have been of the minor variety. In turn, he hasn't missed more than 12 games since his rookie campaign.
If Stuckey struggles in his return, the Pacers will lean even more heavily on Monta Ellis at the 2. Head coach Frank Vogel could also give Joe Young some extra minutes at guard to spell C.J. Miles, who is also returning from his own ankle injury.
Stuckey doesn't receive much attention given his ever-changing secondary role. But his presence will be welcomed back as a jack-of-all-trades at the guard spots.
