NFL Scores Week 7: Complete Results and Top Fantasy Performances
The final scoreline doesn't reflect it, but Miami's 44-26 win over Houston was a true laugher and the most impressive display from Sunday's early slate in Week 7. The Dolphins were up 41-0 at the break, outplaying Houston in every facet of the game. If Texans head coach Bill O'Brien wasn't on the hot seat before, he definitely is now.
Washington's 31-30 comeback win over Tampa Bay, not exactly a matchup you clear your schedule for, was the most compelling, back-and-forth affair of the day up to that point.
Other notable results included New England preserving its perfect record with a 30-23 win over the rival New York Jets and New Orleans surviving a furious late surge from Indianapolis en route to a 27-21 victory.

Top Fantasy Performers from Sunday's Early Games
A Bunch of Players on Miami

No team had more fun in the early Sunday games than Miami. The Dolphins, rejuvenated under interim head coach Dan Campbell, annihilated the hapless Houston Texans in every facet of the game, storming out to a 35-0 lead by the 13:56 mark of the second quarter. Even the weather, positively monsoonal during the Dolphins' early scoring binge, suggested Houston had descended into some sort of bizarro netherworld of doom and gloom.
Tannehill threw for four touchdowns, with two of them going to wide receiver Jarvis Landry. Rishard Matthews had three catches for 75 yards and an end-zone trip. Running back Lamar Miller racked up 236 all-purpose yards and two scores. He didn't even touch the ball in the second half.
Landry quite possibly had the play of the day, refusing to go out of bounds and crossing the entire length of the field for a 50-yard score. Here's a look at the mini-marathon, via the NFL:
It was certainly the most impressive play of the day, that is until Miller ripped off an 85-yard touchdown run, the longest of the season up to this point.
Miller spent much of the game (first half) slaloming through Houston's defense with remarkable ease. He's been an especially big beneficiary of the Campbell bump. In his first four games of the season, Miller had just 131 total rushing yards. In his last two, the rushing number is 288.
Black Sports Online's Robert Littal commented on Miller's improvement:
The defense was a big part of the beatdown as well. Here's Reshad Jones with a second-quarter pick-six, via the NFL:
It should be noted that Texans quarterback Brian Hoyer completed just one of his first 12 passes in the game. If you had just about any part of the Dolphins team in fantasy football this Sunday, it was a deliriously enjoyable game to watch.
T.Y. Hilton, WR, Indianapolis

Based on how abjectly terrible Andrew Luck was in the first half against New Orleans, it was a bit surprising to see T.Y. Hilton at the top of the fantasy football leaderboard when all was said and done.
Hilton did nearly all of his scoring on touchdown plays of 46 and 87 yards. Per ESPN Stats & Info, it was Luck's longest career completion and Hilton's longest reception.
Here's the 87-yard scoring play, via the NFL:
Even though he had just four receptions, Hilton still saw a team-high 15 targets in the game. He's been the top look for both Luck and Matt Hasselbeck this season, and the continued scoring is a great sign for fantasy owners who had to wait until Week 6 against New England for Hilton's first trip to the end zone.
Luck might still be bothered by a nagging shoulder injury, but that shouldn't prevent fantasy owners from trusting Hilton week in and week out.
Todd Gurley, RB, St. Louis

The Rams aren't even a lock to move to Los Angeles yet and Todd Gurley is already going Hollywood. The rookie back out of Georgia has been on a tear these past three weeks. In the Rams' 24-6 win over Cleveland, Gurley carried the ball 19 times for 128 yards and scored his first two NFL touchdowns. It's his third straight game with at least 125 rushing yards.
ESPN Stats & Info noted it's been quite some time since a Rams back regularly topped the century mark in rushing:
Prior to the game, Gurley—who missed the first two games of the season and was used sparingly in the third—credited his fellow running backs with getting him up to speed, per NFL.com's Jeffri Chadiha.
"Those guys up front work their tails off every day," Gurley said. "I have to give a lot of credit to them, along with [Rams running backs] Benny [Cunningham], Tre [Mason] and Chase [Reynolds] for helping me learn the plays and the blocking schemes."
The Rams are absolutely competitive in the NFC West with Gurley making the running game a feature, not a bug, in the St. Louis offense. Cunningham and Mason came into the game averaging 2.9 and 2.5 yards per carry, respectively. Gurley's abilities were sorely needed.
Nick Foles still leaves much to be desired at quarterback, but as long he's not making mistakes, Gurley and an excellent defense could propel the Rams to the playoffs.
