Monday Night Football Week 6: TV Schedule, Live Stream for Giants vs. Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles have a golden opportunity to put their tough start to 2015 in the rearview mirror and move atop the NFC East on Monday Night Football, welcoming the New York Giants to town.
The Eagles enter Monday's game at 2-3 and tied with the Dallas Cowboys at second in the division, but a victory over the 3-2 Giants would give them the NFC East lead and all but erase a poor beginning to the season. With how tight this division has been in recent years and how evenly matched it appears in 2015, the result will have massive implications on the playoff fates of both parties.

Don't Look Now, But Sam Bradford is Rolling

The start to the season couldn't have been any more worrisome offensively for the Philadelphia Eagles.
The opening two games brought two tough losses, both of which the offense struggled mightily in. With DeMarco Murray struggling to get going on the ground and the offensive line unable to stand tall, Sam Bradford threw four interceptions in his first two games as an Eagle.
Ever since, Bradford has dazzled. He has thrown six touchdowns to just two interceptions in the three games since, leading to two Eagles victories.
Head coach Chip Kelly has noticed marked improvement in Bradford's leadership, which is correlating to an increased command of the offense:
The most noticeable improvement Bradford has made is proving capable of going deep. The Redskins and Saints practically dared him to do so, and he gashed them for a combined 600 passing yards and five scores.
If statistics are any indication, Bradford and the Eagles can expect more of that come Monday night. The Giants rank at the bottom of the league, giving up 304.2 yards passing per game as opposing passing attacks have teed off on them all season.
Bradford's ability to attack deep has opened up the rushing attack for Philadelphia, and if he's able to do that Monday, the Giants defense will have its hands full slowing the opposition.
Manning's Men

It was fair to wonder at the beginning of 2015 whether Eli Manning would be able to put up the proper numbers to win games with Victor Cruz on the sideline. He's proven that, but he might face a new task in replacing receiver production Monday.
That's because star wideout Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a hamstring injury in last week's game and has been listed as questionable all week after not practicing. He did travel with the squad to Philadelphia, as ESPN's Dan Graziano reported, but there's no telling of his availability:
Manning has done just fine keeping the Giants passing attack strong without one of the league's best slot receivers. But add one of the league's best overall receivers to that, and any quarterback would have a tough time keeping the offense going.
That should mean more attention going Dwayne Harris' way, as the once-afterthought wideout is making a name for himself and is coming off a busy game, as Paul Schwartz of the New York Post reported:
As noted before, Manning hasn't had trouble putting up big numbers so far—his 1,417 yards passing ranks sixth in the NFL entering Monday. But many of those came with Beckham either making plays or generating a lot of attention from secondaries.
If Beckham can't go Monday night, Manning will have to find someone to complete balls to deep down the field to keep the Giants in it.
Prediction
The Giants have looked awfully good in recent weeks, but that hasn't brought much of an improvement from their secondary. Facing a desperate unit that is finally finding momentum on offense, a step backward is inevitable.
Philadelphia is finally getting some consistency on the ground from Murray and Ryan Mathews, but the X-factor has been Bradford's play. If he keeps the ball away from blue-shirted defenders and hits on the deep passes he's asked to complete, the Eagles will get in control of this one and not let up.
Prediction: Eagles 29, Giants 20
