Paul George Drops 20 Points in 1st Quarter of Preseason Game vs. Pistons

Kyle NewportOct 6, 2015

The 2015-16 NBA season is still a few weeks away, but Indiana Pacers star Paul George is already locked in.

That's a great sign for the Pacers.

After returning to the court late last season, George is looking to play in his first full season since a gruesome leg injury in August 2014. From the looks of things, he's made a remarkable recovery to get back to his old form in just over a year since the injury.

The 25-year-old star got off to a fast start in Tuesday night's preseason game against the Detroit Pistons with an impressive opening quarter:

Note: George only recorded two rebounds in the game.

George made his first seven shots, including four from three-point range. He finished the first quarter 7-of-8 from the floor and went 2-of-2 from the free-throw line.

To put it simply, George is back.

He put up 32 points (10-of-17 overall, 5-of-9 from three-point range) in about 24 minutes in the Pacers' 115-112 victory.
