Josh Freeman Makes Debut with Brooklyn Bolts: Stats, Comments and Reaction
Former NFL first-round pick Josh Freeman struggled in his debut for the Brooklyn Bolts of the Fall Experimental Football League on Friday.
Tim Casey of the New York Times reported that Freeman struggled with the rainy and windy conditions in his first appearance in the FEFL. His numbers against the Florida Blacktips were far from what you would expect given the Kansas State product's background at the top level of the sport:

Freeman didn't speak to reporters after the game, but Bolts coach Terry Shea told the New York Times things simply didn't work out for him, in large part due to the weather.
"I've got to think that this was maybe just one of those nights where a perfect storm came together for him," Shea said. "It really controlled him."
The 27-year-old quarterback is still hoping for another chance in the NFL after posting a 77.8 passer rating across 61 games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Minnesota Vikings. The Miami Dolphins signed and released him twice this past offseason.
Accuracy has always been an issue for Freeman. He completed just 43 percent of his throws in four games with the Bucs and Vikings during the 2013 season. He hasn't played a regular-season game since. Those struggles continued Friday.
It's not fair to completely write off Freeman after one game in a lower league while battling difficult conditions. That said, his lack of production does illustrate how far he needs to go if he truly has his sights set on another opportunity to play in meaningful NFL games.
His physical attributes (6'6" and 240 pounds with solid athleticism) have kept him on the radar. However, his inability to have consistent success from the pocket means he's running out of chances.
