Robinson Unable to Shake Injury Bug in 2015
This was the second injury for Robinson in 2015. In Week 2, he sprained his left knee and needed a brace and the help of crutches to get around after the game, per Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union. Against the Falcons, Robinson did play 62 snaps despite the injury, according to O'Halloran.
For the 25-year-old, the need to remain healthy and on the field is particularly acute. He's still developing as a running back after playing quarterback for the majority of his time at the University of Michigan.
Robinson acquitted himself well in the role in 2014, rushing for 582 yards and four touchdowns. He also caught 23 passes for 124 yards.
The Jaguars still went out and drafted T.J. Yeldon in the second round of the 2015 draft, ostensibly to be the primary running back. However, Robinson was back in the starting lineup in Week 15 as Yeldon sat out to recover from a knee injury.
With Yeldon absent again in Week 16, Robinson has another chance to impress the coaching staff.
