Stephen Curry Compared to Michael Jordan by Steve Kerr, Warriors' HC Hypes Star's Longevity

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr offered the highest of praise for Stephen Curry on Wednesday night, saying that coaching him is a similar experience to playing alongside Michael Jordan during his playing career.

"Honestly, it really does remind me of what it was like to play with Michael Jordan back in the day," (8:50 mark). "Every single night you just are amazed and you marvel at what he's capable of doing, no matter what the defense does. But also just the longevity of it. To see night after night, defenses doing everything possible to slow Steph down like they did with Michael, and yet the love for the game, the competitiveness, the passion, the desire to put on a show for the fansโ€”there's such great comparisons to be made there."

Curry, 38, hasn't lost a step in his 18th season, averaging 30 points, 4.5 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game while shooting 42.9 percent from three. The 5-3 Dubs have been short-handed this season, with Jimmy Butler and Kristaps Porziล†ฤฃis away from the team due to injuries and medical concerns, but Curry has helped lead them on a five-game winning streak nonetheless.

He was always going to be remembered as the greatest shooter of all time. At this point, however, his career longevityโ€”and the elite level of play he continues to displayโ€”is proving to be nearly as impressive.
