Jalen Brunson Jokes Josh Hart is 'Old as S--t' After Knicks Star's Comments About Fatigue
New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson apparently isn't surprised to hear his teammate Josh Hart is talking about tiredness six games into the defense of their 2026 NBA title.
"Josh said he feels the fatigue? Well, Josh is old as s--t, so," Brunson joked to reporters after opening NBA Cup play with a 98-93 Friday night loss at the Philadelphia 76ers.
Brunson was referencing a postgame interview in which Hart said the Knicks "all feel the fatigue" after playing last season until mid-June.
"We've got to fight through it," said Hart, who acknowledged ahead of the season he is playing with a finger injury he cannot surgically repair until he retires.
"Six games in, but we've got to find a way to make sure we get our bodies ready to play every day. I think mentally we're there, we've just got to find it physically."
The Knicks fell to 2-4 with the Friday night loss to the Sixers, which have now beaten the defending champions twice this season.
New York will look to start turning things around starting with a Monday game against the winless Brooklyn Nets to avoid falling further down the Eastern Conference standings.
