New Kyrie Irving Trade Rumors on Heat Links, Interest in Mavs Star Amid 2026-27 NBA Season
Multiple teams are interested in Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving on the trade market as the 2026-27 season begins, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
"There's a slew of teams now that are monitoring Kyrie Irving," Charania reported during a Wednesday appearance on the Pat McAfee Show (8:00 mark).

Charania also discussed the Miami Heat as a potential landing spot for Irving.
"I'm sure knowing the Heat, they're going to be monitoring Kyrie Irving," Charania reported (11:00 mark). "But there's gonna be several teams interested in Kyrie Irving. The question is if you're Miami, what can you give for Kyrie Irving? You already traded away three first-round picks and a swap and other assets to go get Giannis Antetokounmpoย to bring to this team."
"So, what can you trade right now? I believe they have one first-round pick eligible to be traded," he added. "Is that enough to get Kyrie Irving? My sense is probably not."
Irving will earn $39.5 million for the 2026-27 season before he has a $42.4 million player option for his 2027-28 campaign.
The 34-year-old has remained an efficient isolation scorer after recovering from a torn ACL, averaging 19.0 points per game on 51.2/32.0/100.0 shooting splits in his first three appearances this season.
Still, Irving doesn't fit the exact timeline of a Mavericks squad looking to build around 19-year-old Cooper Flagg moving forward.
Dallas currently sits at 2-2, but could become willing to discuss swaps involving Irving if it falls out of the Western Conference postseason picture.
The trade deadline for the 2026-27 season is on Feb. 11.
