Searching for answers amid an 0-4 start to the season, the Miami Heat shared an image of head coach Erik Spoelstra and Bam Adebayo talking things over.

The Heat posted on the image on X Wednesday, along with the caption: "Figuring it out."

This is the first 0-4 start for the Heat since Pat Riley's final season as head coach in 2007-08. That team lost its first five games en route to a 15-67 finish.

There's a lot to figure out in Miami right now. The dynamic with Adebayo and Giannis Antetokounmpo has not at all worked out the way anyone expected so far.

The Heat have a net rating of minus-31.6 with Adebayo and Antetokounmpo on the floor together.

That's the fifth-worst net rating among all two-man lineups that have played at least 70 minutes together. The only four two-man lineups worse than the Adebayo-Antetokounmpo pairing are also from the Heat, which speaks to how disastrous things have been thus far.

The only teams with a worse net rating than Miami's minus-13.5 mark are the winless Sacramento Kings (minus-17.0) and one-win Chicago Bulls (minus-18.3).

Adebayo's individual performance has been jarring. The three-time All-Star is shooting a career-low 40.0 percent from the field (16.7 percent from three) and is averaging 11.8 points per game, his fewest since the 2018-19 season.

The upside is Adebayo's track record suggests things will get better with a larger sample size, but this has been a huge disappointment for the Heat after their offseason acquisition of Antetokounmpo.

Spoelstra, Adebayo and the Heat will look to get in the win column for the first time this season on Wednesday when they take on the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena.
