Tyrese Haliburton Injured, Latest NBA Rumors on Pacers Star's Hamstring, Return Timeline

The Indiana Pacers could be losing Tyrese Haliburton to injury again just four games into his return from a torn Achilles.

Haliburton is expected to "miss time" after suffering a left hamstring strain, ESPN's Shams Charania reported Wednesday.

The Pacers are still "gathering a clear timeline" on when Haliburton will be able to return, Charania reported.

Haliburton missed the entirety of last season after suffering a torn Achilles in June 2025.

The news of his latest injury comes hours before the Pacers tip off a 7 p.m. ET home game against LeBron James and the visiting Philadelphia 76ers.

Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said in a Wednesday morning appearance on 107.5 The Fan Haliburton was set to meet later that afternoon with a hamstring specialist, trainers and members of the Indiana front office.

"We'll have more information, but right now, it's uncertain... We'll hope this hamstring thing is not a big deal, or not any kind of a long-term thing, but as I said, we'll know more about that later this evening," Carlisle said.

Multiple other Pacers players including T.J. McConnell and Aaron Nesmith have also been dealing with hamstring injuries over this early stretch of the season.

Haliburton was initially listed as questionable for the game against the Sixers on a crowded Tuesday injury report. He is now not expected to play Wednesday night, Charania said.

Haliburton had averaged 33 minutes per night while appearing in all four games of the Pacers' 2-2 start to the season.

He posted 21.8 points on 51.6 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent shooting from deep while adding 4.5 rebounds, 9.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

That stretch most recently included a back-to-back set Sunday and Monday, after which Haliburton told reporters he was "a little beat up" (h/t the Indianapolis Star's Dustin Dopirak).

The Pacers, which won just 19 games last season without Haliburton, will now be tasked with taking on the Sixers with potentially only Pascal Siakam available from the team's regular starting lineup.
