Allen Iverson Makes Bold Prediction About LeBron's 1st Season With 76ers, 'I Know for a Fact'
Philadelphia 76ers legend Allen Iverson is supremely confident in what the team will achieve after adding LeBron James and Jaylen Brown.
"I know. I know for a fact it's going to happen," he said while guaranteeing an NBA Finals win, per Jeff Skversky of Fox 29 Philadelphia. "It's gonna end with a parade. I promise you that."
The Sixers are off to a 3-1 start, which includes wins over the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers. James is settling into a secondary role, while Brown is thriving as a shooter (42.1 percent on threes).
Elsewhere, two notable championship contenders are showing some cracks. The 0-3 Knicks don't have the same sharpness they showed in the 2026 playoffs, while the Oklahoma City Thunder will be without Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace for most or all of the season.
Philadelphia's lack of center depth behind Joel Embiid is something to monitor, though. James doesn't sound enthusiastic about playing the 5 on a regular basis, and the jury is out on Adem Bona as the backup big.
In general, the bench doesn't inspire a ton of confidence. With Embiid and VJ Edgecombe unavailable, only eight players saw on the floor in a 106-93 loss to the Detroit Pistons.
Would you consider the Sixers to be the clear Finals favorites? Maybe not.
But you can't blame Iverson for feeling this confident after the opening week.
