The Miami Heat are still winless after four games.

The Heat dropped Monday's contest to the Dallas Mavericks, 113-109, despite a triple-double from Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Mavs led 111-109 with under 30 seconds to play, and Andrew Wiggins' go-ahead shot attempt was blocked by Cooper Flagg. From there, Flagg helped seal the win on the other end with a layup to put Dallas up by four with just 10 seconds to play.

Antetokounmpo stuffed the stat sheet with a triple-double, but he also had quite the highlight reel, including a poster dunk against Daniel Gafford.

Unfortunately for Miami, Antetokounmpo's strong night wasn't enough with his teammates doing very little.

Cooper Flagg is off to a strong start to his second NBA season, and that continued on Monday as he displayed his passing ability while also getting things done on defense.

The 19-year-old is looking even more complete in Year 2, which is good news for the Mavs, but bad news for the rest of the league.

Kyrie Irving, still ramping back up from missing all of the 2025-26 season, also put together a solid night in the win.

It's hard to pinpoint exactly what has gone wrong for the Heat early on this season. They came into the year as Finals hopefuls, but have looked more like a lottery team through the first few games.

It is, perhaps, just early kinks that will get solved as the year goes on, but regardless, starting the year 0-4 is not a great look.
