Warriors HC Kerr Calls Out Grizzlies for 'Flopping,' Says NBA Refs 'Bought Into It' in Viral Video
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr called out the officiating following his team's 111-108 home loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Kerr said, "All of the flopping that was going on, every time somebody ran into a screen, they just went down, and the refs bought into it."

Golden State held a six-point lead entering the fourth quarter, but it was outscored 27-18 by Memphis in the final frame, resulting in the Warriors falling to 0-2 during the early going of the 2026-27 season.
All signs pointed toward the Warriors cruising to a win when they led by 12 with 3:47 remaining, however, the Grizzlies mounted a furious comeback.
Memphis went on a 17-0 run to take the lead and ultimately win the game, although a critical call in the closing seconds aided them.
After the Grizzlies took a 108-106 lead, the Warriors drew up a play for Stephen Curry to potentially make the go-ahead three-pointer, but Draymond Green was called for an illegal screen with 12.8 seconds remaining.
A furious Kerr argued the call and got hit with a technical foul, which gave Memphis a free throw and possession of the ball.
The Grizzlies made their technical free throw and converted a two-point basket on the ensuing possession to seal the victory.
While it is fair to debate the validity of Green's offensive foul, the fact that the Grizzlies were able to overcome such a massive deficit speaks to an even bigger issue.
Of course, it is still early in the season and the Warriors are without two key players in the injured Jimmy Butler and ill Kristaps Porziņģis, but Golden State needs to win games and remain in the playoff race while they are out.
The challenge for Kerr now is to rally the troops and ensure that Friday's loss doesn't snowball into bigger issues, as the Warriors are set to embark on a three-game road trip that starts with the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night.
